A very detailed and well-established body of guidelines that developed over a very lengthy period of time applies to industrial transactions. The need to manage commerce and commerce and resolve enterprise disputes helped form the creation of legislation and courts. The Code of Hammurabi dates again to about 1772 BC for example and contains provisions that relate, amongst different issues, to shipping costs and dealings between retailers and brokers.
